Wedding of Max and Isa - Cognac , 24 mai 2006

Maxime and Isabelle are two really close friends of mine who were getting married last June in Cognac in France. That is why I went back to France for 2 weeks.

Isabelle and her dad on their arrival at the city hall of Cognac.

The "official" wedding in the city hall. Max couldn't hold back his emotion and shed a few tears...

The "official" kiss at the exit of the city hall!

Weeding photo in front of the city hall and the french flags!!
After the city hall, let's go to the chuch.

A weeding tradition where the bride throws her flower bouquet to the female crew! The person who grabs it will get married in the year...maybe!

Aren't they cute?

After few drinks in Cognac, the proper wedding diner was held at Maxim's family place in Archiac, a small village 20 min drive south of Cognac. The property used to be a Cognac distillery and is surendered by vineyard.

The inside of the main barn, where the diner was served.
The old Cognac distiller

Sylvestre and Servane, sharing my table.
Manu and Cecile at another table
Every table has a fish bowl in the middle with a small "non-eatable" creature inside...

This is a funny one. Every table has a diffrent picture on the menu list. All the photo were from Max & Isa recent 6-month trip in south america. The one on the right (the brazilian donkey) was on my menu list while other tables had more artistic photos like the one on the left (the brazilian ......). I think my table guest and I were ripped off a bit!!
Champagne and disco time!
Max relaxes a bit
Guillaume, the groom's best man, having difficulties to take a photo...works better when you can open your eyes actually!!

5am...relaxes some more!

6am, Loic and Sylvestre dressed up in the bride and groom's outfits

7am, Sandra, Loic's partner, is out of action.

The day after, Max, Loic and his cut daughter Lilla ready for a trip on the MG.

The MG borrowed by the bride's dad to one of his client.

Opening-wedding-presents session. Quite a lot of wine actually, good to know for my next diner at their new place in Toulouse!!

Finally, Sylvestre and I looking after the property in Archiac on the night after the wedding while eating some left over from the diner. The bride and groom were back to Cognac for the night.
